Mission 3 : Reflection

Digital Photography For the methodology mission in Creative Digital Media I decided to do it on digital journalism with group members Sean Clarke and Melissa Gilmore. Reflection What I learned During this assignment I developed a better understanding of the top trends of 2019. The top music charts of 2019 were dominated by certain artists that i wasn't aware of eg. Lil Nas X. There were many aspects of the music trends of this year that I was not aware of. Also the movie trends of 2019 were also informative for myself. Researching the success, critically and commercially, of the top movies in 2019 gave me an in-depth look at how successful certain movies were this year. Product Creation of the product The product (our video) was created by implementing the three different segments of presenting top trends of 2019 and putting them together to create a video. A list format was created to present the 2019 artists and songs that topped the charts, this was our way of presenting the top music trends of 2019. This segment had voice recording over it. The video then goes onto to a quiz format asking questions about the most popular films of 2019. Mission 2 For the culture mission in Creative Digital Media I decided to do it on the internet of things with group members Aoibhe Conway and Kain Bradley. We delegated responsibilities between us and together we were able to collaborate together to successful produce a satisfactory presentation. Reflection What I learned I learned about the internet of things. I learned, via research from the internet and websites, the history of the internet of things, how the internet of things effects our lives, examples of the internet of things in our daily lives and how and where the internet can go in the future. What I discovered about the mission and myself During this assignment my learning and experience of working in a group to complete a task further developed and improved. Product Creation of the Presentation The creation of the product was involved picking two other members to take part in this mission and to delegate responsibilities between the three of us and for us to fulfil these responsibilities. Power point was the decided upon format in which to present our mission. The template and format of the power point was created. This allowed inserting our individual areas of the presentation to be very easy due to the pre-established layout. Each member had certain pages to read individually to eliminate the chance of talking over one another or any confusion such as that. Mission 1 : The Art of the Animated Gif For the creativity mission in Creative Digital Media I decided to do it on the art of the animated gif with group members Nasim Slavotic and Shane O'Donnell. Reflection What I Learned During this mission I learned that the history of the animated gif goes back farther than I initially believed. I previously believed that animated gifs were a recent phenomenon, until i found out that it was in fact just something that had gone out of fashion and had only recently made a return to form and popularity due the modern conviniency of hand held devices. Mission 1 : The Art of the Animated Gif For the creativity mission in Creative Digital Media I decided to do it on the art of the animated gif with group members Nasim Slavotic and Shane O'Donnell. We delegated responsibilities between us and together we were able to collaborate together to successful produce a satisfactory presentation. Product Creation of Product The creation of the product involved me editing and modifying videos and pictures that I had, and would've taken, on my phone. Using "GIF Maker-Editor" I was able to work my magic on a number of videos and pictures. I wanted to have a variety of gifs in the presentation. I had looped video gifs, as well as recurring image gifs. Using the gis app I was able to adjust the aspect ratio of the image, modify the colour and saturation, decorate the image, add effects, adjust the speed and trim what I pleased.
